Welcome to Find A Tradie Tas - a Tasmanian-built, Tasmanian-owned local trades & services directory operated by local tasmanians! By accessing or using our website at findatradietas.com.au, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Find A Tradie Tas is an online directory that connects Tasmanian homeowners with local tradespeople and service providers. We are an advertising and listing platform only - we do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any trades or services and any communication and events between parties is at each parties own discretion.

2. For Homeowners

2.1 Free Service

Using Find A Tradie Tas to find and contact tradespeople is completely free for homeowners. There are no sign-up fees, no subscription costs, and no charges for contacting tradies through our directory.

2.2 Directory Only

Find A Tradie Tas is a directory service. We connect you with tradespeople but we are not a party to any agreement, contract, or transaction between you and a tradie. All arrangements, quotes, contracts, and payments are made directly between you and the tradie.

2.3 Your Responsibility

While we verify ABN status and licence numbers at the time of listing, we encourage homeowners to conduct their own due diligence before engaging a tradie, including:

• Confirming their ABN is still active at abn.business.gov.au
• Checking their licence is current with Consumer, Building and Occupational Services Tasmania (CBOS)
• Requesting a copy of their public liability insurance certificate
• Researching the tradie and their business
• Getting a written quote before any work commences

## 3. For Tradies | Listings & Memberships ### 3.1 Membership Tiers Find A Tradie Tas offers five membership tiers designed to suit businesses at every stage of growth. Features included with each tier are outlined on our website and may be updated from time to time to improve the platform. Existing members will receive reasonable notice of any material changes. #### Listed – Free Our free entry-level membership includes: * Business listing in the Find A Tradie Tas directory. * Display in your selected trade category and service areas. * Basic business contact information. * ABN verification (where applicable). #### Plus **$20 per week or $80 per month** Includes everything in Listed, plus additional business information, enhanced visibility and expanded listing features. #### Boost **$45 per week or $180 per month** Includes everything in Plus, together with enhanced business profiles, additional promotional opportunities and increased visibility throughout the directory. #### Priority **$70 per week or $280 per month** Includes everything in Boost, plus priority placement throughout the directory, premium listing presentation and additional promotional benefits. Priority placements are limited within each trade and region to maintain fairness and maximise visibility for participating businesses. #### Premium **$99 per week or $396 per month** Includes everything in Priority, together with the highest level of exposure available on Find A Tradie Tas. Premium membership includes priority positioning, enhanced profile presentation, direct homeowner quote opportunities where available, and other premium features advertised at the time of subscription. Premium memberships are limited within each trade and region. --- ### 3.2 Accelerate Website Bundle Find A Tradie Tas also offers the Accelerate Website Bundle for businesses wanting a professional online presence. The Accelerate Website Bundle includes: * A professionally designed business website optimised for local lead generation. * Website setup and launch. * Integration with your Find A Tradie Tas listing. * One month of Premium membership included. Following the included month, Premium membership will continue at the standard Premium membership rate unless cancelled or down-graded before the next billing cycle. Website pricing and inclusions are displayed on our website at the time of purchase. --- ### 3.3 Payment Terms Paid memberships may be billed weekly or monthly. Monthly memberships are charged at four times the weekly membership rate. All memberships are payable in advance. Payment is currently accepted via PayID unless otherwise agreed in writing. To activate a paid listing, members must: * Pay their initial invoice. * Set up a recurring PayID payment matching their selected billing frequency. * Provide confirmation of the recurring payment setup if requested. Find A Tradie Tas reserves the right to withhold publication of a listing until payment requirements have been completed. --- ### 3.4 Missed Payments If a scheduled payment is missed, we will attempt to contact you using your nominated email address. If payment remains outstanding after **7 days**, your listing may be temporarily suspended. If payment remains outstanding after **14 days**, your listing may be removed from the directory. No refunds are provided for membership fees already paid or for partial billing periods. Businesses removed due to non-payment may be required to submit a new application before being relisted. --- ### 3.5 Founding Member Pricing Founding Member pricing is available only to qualifying businesses while advertised. Founding Member rates remain available only while the membership remains active and payments remain current. If a membership is cancelled or lapses due to non-payment, the Founding Member rate is permanently forfeited and cannot be reinstated. --- ### 3.6 Changes to Memberships Members may upgrade or downgrade their membership at any time by contacting Find A Tradie Tas. Membership changes will normally take effect from the next billing period unless otherwise agreed. Where a recurring PayID payment has been established, it is the member's responsibility to update the payment amount to match their new membership. --- ### 3.7 Pausing or Cancelling There are no lock-in contracts. Members may cancel their membership at any time by contacting [hello@findatradietas.com.au](mailto:hello@findatradietas.com.au). We understand that businesses experience seasonal fluctuations. If you need to pause your membership due to holidays, illness, reduced workload or other circumstances, we encourage you to contact us before cancelling. Where practical, we will work with members to find a suitable solution. Cancellation of a paid membership does not entitle the member to a refund for any fees already paid. Members are responsible for cancelling or updating any recurring PayID payments with their financial institution following cancellation. --- ### 3.8 Price Changes Find A Tradie Tas may update membership pricing from time to time. Where pricing changes affect existing members, at least 30 days' notice will be provided. This does not affect any applicable Founding Member pricing that has been retained under Section 3.5.

4. Verification

4.1 ABN Verification

All tradies listed on Find A Tradie Tas have had their ABN verified as active on the Australian Business Register at the time of listing. We do not continuously monitor ABN status after initial verification. Tradies are responsible for notifying us if their ABN status changes.

4.2 Licence Verification

For trades that require a licence in Tasmania (including plumbers, electricians, and gas fitters), we verify licence numbers through Consumer, Building and Occupational Services Tasmania (CBOS) at the time of listing. Tradies are responsible for maintaining current licences and notifying us of any changes.

4.3 Fully Verified Badge | Insurance

Tradies who provide a current Certificate of Currency for public liability insurance receive a "Fully Verified" badge on their listing. We verify the certificate at the time of submission. Tradies are responsible for maintaining current insurance coverage and providing updated certificates upon renewal. The Fully Verified badge will be removed if insurance coverage lapses.

4.4 Tradie Obligations

By listing on Find A Tradie Tas, tradies agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information at all times
• Maintain active ABN registration throughout their subscription
• Hold and maintain any licences required for their trade in Tasmania
• Respond to homeowner enquiries promptly
• Notify Find A Tradie Tas of any changes to their credentials, contact details, or service areas

5. For Homeowners | Quote Requests

When you submit a quote request through Find A Tradie Tas, your contact details and job description will be forwarded to relevant local tradies. By submitting a quote request you consent to your details being shared with up to 3 tradies in the relevant trade and location.

Find A Tradie Tas does not guarantee a response from tradies. Quote requests are facilitated as a convenience only and do not constitute a contract or commitment from any tradie.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Find A Tradie Tas is not liable for:

• The quality, safety, or reliability of services provided by any listed tradie
• Any disputes, delays, or non-completion of work by a tradie
• Any financial loss or damage arising from a transaction between a homeowner and a tradie
• Losses arising from expired or invalid credentials after our initial verification
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our platform
• Loss of leads, enquiries, or business resulting from listing suspension or removal

7. Accuracy of Information

Tradies are responsible for ensuring all information on their listing is accurate, current, and not misleading. Find A Tradie Tas reserves the right to remove or correct listings that contain inaccurate or misleading information without notice or refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Find A Tradie Tas website | including text, design, logo, and structure | is owned by Divine by Design and may not be reproduced without permission. Tradies retain ownership of photos and content they submit for their listings but grant Find A Tradie Tas a licence to display that content on the directory and in social media promotion.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Existing subscribers will be notified of material changes by email with 30 days notice. Continued use of the website or maintenance of a listing after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Tasmania and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Tasmanian courts.
