1. Introduction

Welcome to Find A Tradie Tas ("we", "us", "our") — a Tasmanian-built, Tasmanian-owned local tradie directory operated by Divine by Design, based in Tasmania, Australia. By accessing or using our website at findatradietas.com.au, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

Find A Tradie Tas is an online directory that connects Tasmanian homeowners with local tradespeople. We are an advertising and listing platform — we do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any trades services.

2. Who We Are

Find A Tradie Tas is a project of Divine by Design, based in Tasmania, Australia. We operate solely within Tasmania and our directory lists only Tasmanian-based tradespeople.

3. For Homeowners

3.1 Free Service

Using Find A Tradie Tas to find and contact tradespeople is completely free for homeowners. There are no sign-up fees, no subscription costs, and no charges for contacting tradies through our directory.

3.2 Directory Only

Find A Tradie Tas is a directory service. We connect you with tradespeople but we are not a party to any agreement, contract, or transaction between you and a tradie. All arrangements, quotes, contracts, and payments are made directly between you and the tradie.

3.3 Your Responsibility

While we verify ABN status and (for licensed trades) licence numbers at the time of listing, we encourage homeowners to conduct their own due diligence before engaging a tradie, including:

• Confirming their ABN is still active at abn.business.gov.au
• Checking their licence is current with Consumer, Building and Occupational Services Tasmania (CBOS)
• Requesting a copy of their public liability insurance certificate
• Getting a written quote before any work commences

4. For Tradies — Listings & Subscriptions

4.1 Listing Tiers

Tradespeople can list their business on Find A Tradie Tas on the following weekly subscription tiers:

• Get Found — $20/week (founding rate available to first 50 tradies)
• Get Enquiries — $45/week
• Get Noticed — $70/week
• Get Jobs — $99/week

4.2 Founding Member Rate

The first 50 tradies to join Find A Tradie Tas are eligible for the founding member rate of $20/week for the Get Found tier, locked in permanently for as long as they remain listed. Upgrades to higher tiers are charged at standard pricing.

4.3 Payment

Subscriptions are billed weekly. Payment is made via PayID transfer to payments@findatradietas.com.au. We recommend setting up a recurring weekly transfer through your internet banking. Your listing remains active while payments are current.

4.4 Cancellation

There are no lock-in contracts. You can cancel your listing at any time by emailing hello@findatradietas.com.au. Your listing will be deactivated within 24 hours of your cancellation request. No refunds are provided for partial weeks already paid.

4.5 Listing Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or remove a listing if payment is not received, if information provided is found to be inaccurate, or if a tradie is found to be in breach of these terms.

5. Verification

5.1 ABN Verification

All tradies listed on Find A Tradie Tas have had their Australian Business Number (ABN) verified as active on the Australian Business Register at the time of listing. We do not continuously monitor ABN status after the initial verification.

5.2 Licence Verification

For trades that require a licence in Tasmania (including plumbers, electricians, and gas fitters), we verify licence numbers through Consumer, Building and Occupational Services Tasmania (CBOS) at the time of listing. Tradies are responsible for maintaining current licences.

5.3 Insurance Verification

Tradies who provide a current certificate of public liability insurance receive a "Fully Verified" badge on their listing. We verify the certificate at the time of submission. Tradies are responsible for maintaining current insurance coverage.

5.4 Limitation of Verification

Verification is carried out at the time of listing only. Find A Tradie Tas does not guarantee the ongoing validity of any ABN, licence, or insurance after the initial verification. Homeowners are encouraged to independently confirm these details before engaging a tradie.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Find A Tradie Tas is not liable for:

• The quality, safety, or reliability of services provided by any listed tradie
• Any disputes, delays, or non-completion of work by a tradie
• Any financial loss or damage arising from a transaction between a homeowner and a tradie
• Losses arising from expired or invalid credentials after our initial verification
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our platform

7. Accuracy of Information

Tradies are responsible for ensuring that all information on their listing is accurate, current, and not misleading. Find A Tradie Tas reserves the right to remove or correct listings that contain inaccurate or misleading information.

Homeowners are responsible for providing accurate information when submitting quote requests or enquiries.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Find A Tradie Tas website — including text, design, logo, and structure — is owned by Divine by Design and may not be reproduced without permission. Tradies retain ownership of photos and content they submit for their listings.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Tasmania and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of Tasmanian courts.
